She wrote and entered papers into writing contests at 7 years old on topics she believed in. She participated in my court and mock Congress at 8.  She also went on to compete and stoa speech and debate competitions and placed at state. Bethany is a recent graduate of Rollins College located in Winter Park Florida where she studied Communications with an emphasis on Leadership an organizational communication.As a believer in being "well rounded and grounded." Bethany has a wide range of hobbies, work experience, volunteering as well as political activism. Having dedicated her time in working with troubled youth, helping at food pantries, or back at the beginning of covid when hospitals war running short on masks spent her time making 250 through a program that distributes them to local hospitals. In her free time she is obsessed with purses and enjoys writing poetry, wine, being with her friends, museums and collecting old books.On September 20th 2018, she was featured on the front page of Rollins Colleges schools newspaper. In the article Bethany shared her personal experience being sexually assaulted less than seven months after the traumatizing event. She is activist and organizer at heart, and a freelance digital media professional by trade. Kat lives in Miami and serves as Communications Director, Digital Organizer, and Freedom From Violence Task Force Chair with Florida’s National Organization for Women, and Treasurer and Co-Chair of Housing Justice with Miami’s Coalition to Advance Racial Equity. Kat is also a member of Palm Beach, Martin, and St. Lucie County’s Sexual Assault Response Teams, Florida Council Against Sexual Violence, and RAINN’s National Speaker Bureau. For the past 3 sessions Kat has advocated and organized to help pass 3 Rape Law Reform bills, including Donna’s Law - which removed the time limits for prosecuting rape against a minor, Gail’s Law - which established a Rape Kit Tracking System for Florida, and SB 1530 - which required Trauma Informed Training for Law Enforcement Officers in Florida and established Sexual Assault Response Teams statewide.             3/22/2022                                    Show #50Tonight's Guest Are Christy And Rachel,They are both Florida PP and on the Legislative Committee For (FACTS) Families-Against Court Travesties with me fighting for the safety of our children.  They have gone through (HELL) very high conflict divorces and post divorce abuse as well as have their children.Rachel's story is about her 50/50 time sharing of her little boy after she was tormented and abused by her ex-husband.  Her young little boy exhibits child abuse everytime he is back in her care after he has been with his father.   Christy doesn't even have 50% of time sharing with her Ex. Abuser.  Her abuse was extremely severe and was transferred over to her kids after the separation and divorce. Even though her 15 year old son testified in court showing proof of #ChildAbuse.These stories are never ending , I hear new ones just in the State of Florida weekly.  Unfortunately some end up in the death of a child.  If we continue to have children living with abusers as I say this every week on my show all we are doing is creating the cycle of abuse or children that end up with very bad mental health issues, addictions or death.  As a protective parent all we want is to see our children lead happy, healthy and productive lives.We did not get #Greysonslaw passed this year, it never got past the Senate, Unfortunately watching first hand what goes on in legislation is an eye opener, as a naive constituent to the inside of politics I wondered, why are so many bills being presented that are really not more important than our FUTURE! Why Is Family Court Failing Children And The Protective Parent?

                      11/23/2021                                  Show #37Tonight Show Was A Discussion, Protective Parents Who Are In The Process Of High Conflict Divorce, Fighting to Keep Children Safe.  Being part of a group of parents trying to help navigate a system that seems to have no end in sight.  It's a constant battle that feels like it will never end.Lisa is a mom who got shared custody with her ex-husband, she is also a disabled veteran that is forced to pay child support for a child that is kept from her.  Every week on her days she goes to pick up her daughter (I was a witness to this personally) it has become a very ugly evil game that is played by her ex.  Unfortunately it's heartbreaking to watch her leave empty handed..  In a DCF report from early this year (That no one seems to think they are responsible for filing with courts) "Her daughter feels responsible to make her father happy and admits at times it's easier not to go with her mom rather than upset her dad and deal with his disapproval.'This report has been sitting somewhere and has never been reported, almost a year now.  To me this is extremely scary.When you go to DCF they say, ``Call the police, Police claim it's not our jurisdiction, we deal with criminals."
