#13 5/4/2021Tonight's Guest Is:Barbara La Pointe, A Divorce Coach for women, guiding them through the process of leaving a narcissist, dealing with lawyers and abuse in the courtroom..Marriage to a narcissistic partner almost always includes some form of abuse. Emotional abuse, psychological abuse, financial abuse, physical or even sexual abuse often occur. Because of this, when it comes to getting a divorce from a narcissistic partner, abuse is generally heightened as the relationship turns into a “fight to the death” kind of battle. If you think you were walking on eggshells around a narcissist during the marriage, you will find running away from them on eggshells is even more challenging. Statistically, more men than women have NPD or narcissistic personality disorder, by a two to one ratio. Also, almost 70% of divorces are initiated by women across North America. But there are women narcissistic partners who are equally abusive in their marriages, and also in the divorce process. She also helps practice mindfulness! In the list of top 10 stressors in life, Divorce almost always ranks as number 2. This is not surprising! As the storm of stressful losses swirls around and inside you, learning how to center your thoughts in the moment is extremely important and enormously helpful. “Mindfulness” is a powerful stabilizing and calming practice you can easily learn and experience the benefits. Show #10 4/13/2021Tonight's Guest Is Jen, She lives in Connecticut. Jen worked in film and television prior to starting a family. As life went on Jen became disabled by a rare genetic connective tissue disease known as Ehlers Danlos Syndrome (EDS). Jen is the Mom of 2 and a Grandma. Jen's 15 year old daughter is a nationally ranked cheerleader, she too has EDS. Jen is involved with EDS advocacy & awareness. She recently began speaking out on Narcissist Abuse & DV after a horrific experience with a Covert Malignant Narcissist (CMN) whom she'd known since the age of 7. Jen didn't know he was a narcissist until they moved in together. CMN's are extremely difficult to spot because they disguise themselves from everyone other than their intimate partner in the privacy of the home. To others they are the do-gooders, saviors & angels. Jen barely escaped alive. She left with a carotid artery dissection from blunt force trauma & an incurable STD. Her abuser was arrested multiple times. He continued to threaten and gaslight her. She was hospitalized after a suicide attempt. When she escaped the bond of trauma, she reported all of the abuse. That's when she learned how corrupt the system is. Her case spans 2 states and 4 counties. Jen has been retraumatized. She has been provided no justice for her. Her abuser has had little to no consequence. She continues to be victim shamed/slandered by her abuser & his cohorts. Jen is writing her story titled "All You Need". She is creating support groups for DV Survivors. She is raising awareness on the failures of the DV court system. Jen says, Telling your story and reporting your abuser, takes an enormous amount of strength. To receive no justice is to be revictimized all over again. Let's not allow it to cost a life.https://soundcloud.com/bailey-smith-369208333/when-there-is-no-justce-you-have-no-peace?si=0d1c456f5f73492b973be1c77fcc9f68&utm_source=clipboard&utm_medium=text&utm_campaign=social_sharinghttps://www.blogtalkradio.com/friendstalk/2021/04/13/when-there-is-no-justice-you-have-no-peacehttp://tobtr.com/11927550
